ScopeLab Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

ScopeLab does not collect, transmit or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.

Network use

ScopeLab talks only to measurement instruments that you connect to or that it finds on your local network (for example via Bonjour or LXI discovery). It never contacts the developer or any other server.

USB and GPIB

ScopeLab uses USB access only to talk to instruments and GPIB adapters that you connect.

Data stored on your Mac

  • App settings, such as display preferences.
  • Addresses of instruments you have used, so they can be found again quickly.
  • Session transcripts, only when you turn recording on.
  • Captures and exports, only where you choose to save them.

This data stays on your Mac. Deleting the app deletes the settings and stored addresses.
